PayUp

Privacy Policy

Effective October 30, 2026

The short version: PayUp has no accounts and no servers of its own. What you enter and do in the app stays on your iPhone. Your Screen Time choices and camera never leave your device. The only outside services involved are Apple, which handles payment, and RevenueCat, which checks whether your subscription is active.

If you join the launch waitlist on this website, we keep your email only to tell you when PayUp launches (see section 6).

1. No account, no PayUp servers

You don't sign up, log in, or give us your name or email to use PayUp. The app doesn't send your data to any server we run, and we don't use advertising, analytics, or tracking tools. We don't sell or share your data.

2. What's stored on your iPhone

PayUp saves the following only on your device:

This data is deleted when you delete PayUp. Like other app data, it may be included in your iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have those turned on. Those backups are handled by Apple, not by us.

3. Screen Time (choosing and locking apps)

PayUp uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls) to let you pick apps and to lock them. Apple gives PayUp your selection in a form meant for use on your device. Your selected apps and lock settings stay on your iPhone, and PayUp doesn't send them anywhere.

4. Camera

If you choose squats as your price to unlock, PayUp uses your camera to count them with Apple's on-device body-pose detection. Camera frames are processed on your iPhone while you exercise. PayUp does not save photos or video and does not send them anywhere. The camera is used only when you choose squats, and you can turn camera access off at any time in Settings.

5. Subscriptions: Apple and RevenueCat

Apple processes all payments. We never see your card or payment details. Apple's handling of your information is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat is the service we use to check whether your subscription is active. When the app checks or updates your subscription, RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat doesn't receive your onboarding answers, attempt history, Screen Time selections, or camera data. We use RevenueCat only to manage subscriptions, not for advertising or tracking. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

6. Website waitlist

If you sign up on getpayup.app to hear about the launch:

The list is stored in a database run by Cloudflare, which hosts this website. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address to deliver the page and block abuse; we don't store it with your email. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

7. Children

PayUp is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
